Ethical Policy
Our Ethical policy
Radish contributes to a better Climate for Living by:
- Supporting authors and activists with an ethical message. We do this by organising events and book-signings, talks and pop-up bookshops. When asked, we bring stalls to local charities and organisations.
- Developing a wide range of titles within our book offer dedicated to issues relating to climate change, sustainability, radical politics and transition initiatives.
- Offering networking opportunities through links on the Radishweb and our community noticeboard in the shop.
- Diversifying into fair trade and contributing to opportunities for developing communities to earn a living wage. Offering local artists and writers the opportunity to showcase their talents by stocking a good range of locally printed books and cards.
Radish is managed by the owner and two assistant managers who work on a job-share basis. We are committed to offering the best possible service to our customers and community not only by offering expert advice on books and related products but also by developing links and networking opportunities for local individuals, groups and organisations.
